Worship this Week
This weekend is the Fifteenth Sabbath after Pentecost. On Sunday, Sept. 13, we are offering a communion worship service in the parking lot of the church. See below for more details.

For the time being, we will gather virtually to worship together. Worship Videos will be posted on our website and HTLC app at 5:00 pm on Saturdays so you can worship at a time that is most convenient for you. You may join us on Sundays at 9:00 am on our Facebook page to share "virtual worship" together.

The bulletin, readings and prayers are available on our website. Prayer requests may be submitted online. Please complete a Welcome Card when you worship.
Communion Worship Service - Sunday, Sept. 13
A Parking Lot Communion Worship Service will be held at HTLC on Sunday, September 13, at 10:00 am. Please plan to arrive in the north parking lot by 9:45 am to facilitate parking. The service will broadcast through your car radio on 87.7 FM. You will remain in your vehicle for the duration of the service and will be asked to wear a face mask when communion is delivered to your car. Communion will be distributed in one kind; wafers will be individually bagged and distributed by individuals wearing masks and gloves.

If you wish to participate, please click here to register, email Krista Gerth, or call Krista at 515-964-4348 ext. 212 so we can plan accordingly. Please indicate the number of passengers you expect to receive communion in your vehicle. Contact Pastor Tim with questions about this service.
Thoughts from the Pastors & Staff
Full Speed Ahead
I find myself full of gratitude today. I previewed the first Church School lesson for our new School of Love. It is awesome! Kelly Heuton has learned a whole new way to offer Jesus to the children of the congregation. I listened to the plans to launch affirmation classes this evening. Anne Williams has morphed everything to keep kids safe while she does what we always have – raise up disciples.  I have heard praise for the music that David Fandrich made part of last weeks worship. At our prayer service this evening on Zoom, people were thankful to come together on Zoom to do what we do as people of God – “persevere in prayer.” (Romans 12) I wrote a letter to the congregation to thank everyone for the financial support we have received that has kept us going through the pandemic. Our finances are solid.
Get Connected with a Ministry
Connections is virtual this year. Click here to learn about ministries you can join to serve, learn and build community. Holy Trinity has Bible studies, serving groups, social groups, and more. We invite you to connect with a new friend, connect with a ministry purpose, and connect with weekly worship.
Election 2020 - Vote
Our mission to Share God’s Love extends to all aspects of our life. Our role as citizens is no exception. Once again this year we are providing information to help answer questions about voting. Also, since so many of the poll workers in the past are from a high risk group, there is a need for poll workers this year who are not in a high risk group. Click here for information about helping with the polls and learning more about how to vote.
Volunteer with Family Promise - Sign up by Sept. 28
During our host week of Oct. 11-18, Family Promise families are staying at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and host church volunteers are coming to them.
We need volunteers to help with meal preparation and overnight hosts.
  • Overnight Hosts - We still need help. Due to Covid-19, we need one person, but two are allowed. The hours for overnight hosts are 7:30 pm until 7:00 am. The overnight host will have very little contact with the families.
  • Meal Preparation - We still need help Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Breakfast Preparation - We need help Saturday morning.
If you can help or have questions, please sign up here, email Carlie Fitzgerald or call Scott Hamilton at 964-8434.
Online Prayer Services - Sept. 23
We will offer a prayer service on Sept. 23 at 6:30 pm. Zoom instructions will be shared via email on the day of the service.
When we pray, we will do so together so we can see we are not alone.
Habitat for Humanity - Sign up to Help
Holy Trinity helped build the panel walls for a home to be constructed this fall. Would you like to help? Click here to reserve your spot. Shifts are available now through early December on most Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. Volunteers will follow Covid-19 safety measures.
The future homeowner, Miriam, will be purchasing the home later this year. She is originally from Peru and has five boys, four of which will live in the new home with her. Habitat for Humanity is grateful to everyone who is helping her move closer to her homeownership goal.
Christ in Our Home
Christ in Our Home devotion booklets for October-December have arrived! You can pick up your copy inside the north entrance on Mondays from 9:00 - 11:00 am. If you prefer to have one mailed to you, email Lisa Strnad in the office.

Support Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The north entry doors will be open each Monday from 9:00-11:00 am to drop off donated items. If you prefer to give at other times, you can stock the Helping Hands boxes located in the south parking lot. You can also make a monetary contribution to the food pantry.
The Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
