GATHER
Annual Congregational Meeting - May 22
The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held Sunday, May 22, at 11:00 am, immediately following worship at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. We will approve the 2022-23 budget, elect new leadership, and vote on changes to our governing documents. Please plan to attend. Click here to read the 2021-2022 Annual Report.
VOLUNTEER
Adopt a Flower Bed
We have several beautiful flower beds around the building that need to be weeded on occasion. We would like to have individuals or families “adopt” a flower bed and weed and/or water it throughout the summer. This can be done on your own schedule as needed. If you are willing to help, contact Krista Gerth in the office.
Love Lunches This Summer
Love Lunches returns to Sunset Park this summer! Holy Trinity is responsible for providing volunteers June 2-16 and Aug. 8-9. Click here for information and to sign up for those weeks.
USPS Food Drive - May 14
On Saturday, May 14, the USPS will hold their annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, and many of the items will be given to the Holy Trinity Food Pantry. We need people to help sort the food on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. For more information and to sign up to help, visit https://bit.ly/htlc-food22. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall. Please use the south doors by the kitchen.
THOUGHTS FROM PASTORS & STAFF
GRACE NOTES BLOG: EXTRACURRICULAR FAITH
When I left college and started a career (the first one), life seemed full. I had my job. As I was back in my hometown, I had family. I had friends. I was still an active musician and often had a band to play with on a lot of weekends. Life was full. As life became more complicated, I found my way back to church. It seemed a worthwhile extracurricular activity, something to fit in the spaces - when there were spaces. I thought I would meet new friends, or maybe even a cute young woman (that happened later and is a story for another day).
HOLY TRINITY FOOD PANTRY
Donate to Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • saltine crackers and oyster crackers
  • frozen meat in one-pound packages, labeled (chicken pieces, ground beef, ground pork, ground turkey, ham)
  • canned soup
  • canned meats
  • canned fruit
  • toilet paper
  • paper towels
  • peanut butter
  • feminine hygiene products
  • diapers
  • personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, shaving products)
If you have perishable foods to donate, please contact Lisa in the church office to find out if we have the capacity to store these items before bringing them to the pantry.
Due to space constraints, our food pantry does not accept clothing or other household items.
Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community. Thank you for giving generously!
