For the time being, we will gather virtually to worship together. Worship Videos will be posted on our website, HTLC app and YouTube at 5:00 pm on Saturdays so you can worship at a time that is most convenient for you. You may join us on Sundays at 9:00 am on our Facebook page to share "virtual worship" together.
Zoom instructions are posted on Realm and will be shared via email on the day of the service.
Remembering the Saints: During worship on November 1, we will remember those who have died since last November. To include a loved one who has died during this time, please click here to complete this form by October 21.
STUDY, SERVE, SUPPORT
Winter Clothing Drive
Drop off new or clean, gently used winter coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and boots during our open hours on Mondays, 9-11 am, by Nov. 2. The winter clothing items will be given to students in the Ankeny school system.
Iowa Hunger Summit
It's virtual, Oct. 19-21. Learn from others dedicated to the fight against food insecurity and poverty, and hear from experts in the field.
Park in the lots to the north or south of the church and walk over. High School youth will decorate their cars and have treats to pass out. We'll follow safety protocols to ensure a fun, safe event! Contact Kelly Heuton with any questions or to get involved.
This week, the HTLC quilters shipped 58 quilts to Lutheran World Relief. The quilts will be shared with those in need around the world.
Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The north entry doors will be open each Monday from 9:00-11:00 am to drop off donated items. If you prefer to give at other times, you can stock the Helping Hands boxes located in the south parking lot. You can also make a monetary contribution to the food pantry.
The Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
Toilet paper and paper towels
Recently purchased ground beef, chicken or other mainstay meats that are in 1-2 pound packages. Please place in the freezer located in the Food Pantry.
Due to space constraints, our food pantry does not accept clothing or other household items.
Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community. Thank you for giving generously!
THOUGHTS FROM PASTORS & STAFF
To Whom Do We Pray?
Troop Zero is a heartwarming movie about a group of kids who have been labeled uncool, lame, and losers by the “cool” kids. The “cool” kids are taught to think this way by the “cool” adults who think the same way about the parents of the misfit kids. When they try to be part of the scout troop in town, they are forced to form their own. Zero is assigned as the troop number to make a point.
