March 17 Worship & Brunch
On March 17 we will have only one worship service (10:00 am) followed by brunch at 11:00 am. We will provide the pancakes and sausage; please bring something else to share.

Let Your Light Shine Giving
God has given us much; blessed us with abundance. God has also called us to do much with what we have received. Let's join together for this generous undertaking that will fill our city with grace, mercy, love and hope.
M&M's for World Hunger
Our giving focus during Lent is on world hunger. Visit the Red Wall to grab a tube of M&M’s. These tubes will quickly move from feeding our sweet tooth to feeding the hungry; from celebration to Lenten giving. Each tube holds $14 of quarters (cash and checks fit too). Our goal is to raise $7,000 for ELCA World Hunger. Please return M&M tubes on or before Maundy Thursday.
Global Hunger
Volunteer with Family Promise
Every day families of all shapes and sizes live without something we all likely take for granted: A home. Family Promise of Greater Des Moines is part of a nationwide network of ministries dedicated to not just providing shelter, but solutions to the problem of homelessness, one family at a time.
Volunteers are needed for Family Promise for our next host week, March 24-31. We need people to cook, drive the van, and serve as evening and overnight hosts. Please consider helping.  Sign up online or visit the Red Wall.
Wednesday Adult Learning - The Passion of Jesus
Beginning on Wednesday, March 13, at 7:00 pm, Pastor Tim will lead a study of the Passion of Jesus based on a book and video presentation by Amy-Jill Levine , a Jewish New Testament scholar. The book, Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginner’s Guide to Holy Week , brings a fresh look at what we can draw from the passion of Jesus that will sustain our spiritual life. The class meets in room 200 and will run throughout the season of Lent. If you would like to purchase a copy of the book through the Resource Center, email Pastor Tim so we can have one on hand for you.

Grace Notes Blog
HTLC's Grace Notes has a new blog post .The sermon series for Lent is “Are You Saved?”  Jesus came that all might be saved, but what does that exactly look like?

Holy Trinity Food Pantry
The Holy Trinity Food Pantry is in need of the following items:
  • Personal care items, including shampoo, deodorant, etc.
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Grocery bags (place in the grocery carts)
  • Recently purchased ground beef, chicken or other mainstay meats that are in 1-2 pound packages and have an easy-to-read date on them. Take them directly to the freezer in the Fellowship Hall, next to the Hearty Blessings freezer.
Please continue your generous support.  Credit/debit card donations can be placed at the Giving Station located in the Narthex.  Your monetary, food and personal care gifts are an outreach of God's love to the Ankeny community.

Remember: while we do depend on the generosity of members to supply the pantry’s needs, our food pantry is also available to any members who need help. We all need a hand sometimes.
