USPS Food Drive - May 11
On Saturday, May 11, the HTLC Food Pantry will receive food from the USPS Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. We need many volunteers to help sort the food - last year we received 12,000 pounds! All ages are welcome. The food will arrive sometime after 3:00 pm; we will sort until 6:00 pm. We will continue sorting on Sunday, May 12, at 9:30 am and work until we are finished. Additional food will need to be picked up from the Post Office and sorted on Monday around 10:00 am. Come help as you are able.
5th Grade Confirmation Orientation - May 15
All 5 th graders and their parents are invited to attend a Confirmation Orientation meeting on Wednesday, May 15, at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is an opportunity to learn about the program and ask questions before classes start in the fall. Contact Anne Williams with any questions.
Annual Meeting - May 19
Annual Meeting & Lunch
Sunday, May 19
after the 10:00 AM worship service in the Sanctuary
Our Annual Meeting is crucial for the on-going life of the congregation. We will adopt a Mission Investment Plan (budget) and elect leaders. A quorum is required to conduct our business, so we need all confirmed and voting members to attend. Click here for a copy of the report.

Following the meeting, everyone is invited to a soup, salad and sandwich fundraiser lunch to benefit the middle school mission trip.
VBS and Hands & Feet
VBS and Hands & Feet will take place June 24-28. We'll explore where God's love can take us as we focus on special power sources of faith, boldness, kindness, thankfulness, and hope! VBS is for 3-year-old preschoolers up to 5th graders and will be 9:00-11:30 am each day.

Hands & Feet is a service learning day camp for 3rd thru 8th grade students and takes place daily 11:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Click here to register and volunteer. Contact Jen Schafer or Kelly Heuton in the office with any questions.
HTLC Flowers Containers
We're looking for folks to help plant, water and weed the flower containers located on the north and south entrances to the church. If you are interested in helping, please contact Nancy Nelson at 507-261-5923.

GraceNotes: Thoughts from our Pastors
FROM FONT TO TABLE
Each week we print in the bulletin: "Holy Communion is open to all who are baptized and trust that Christ is present in the meal, regardless of your tradition or affiliation. Pastors are available to talk about Holy Baptism if you desire to join in the Lord's Supper." Why do we say that the baptized are welcome to commune and not everyone? What do baptism and Holy Communion have to do with each other?

T hat’s the subject of GraceNotes this week… Read this blog and subscribe to new posts on the Grace Notes blog page here!

  • Credit/debit card donations at the Giving Station located in the Narthex.
We do not need plastic bags right now; they can be recycled at grocery stores.
