The mission of the American Guild of Organists is to foster a thriving community of musicians who share their knowledge and inspire passion for the organ.

Organ Academy Edition

- From the Dean -

Greetings, chapter members and friends!

O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in thee.

I give thee back the life I owe, that in thine ocean depths its flow

may richer, fuller be.

- George Matheson (1882)

With the demands of Lent and Easter behind us, take a moment to rest your weary souls; practice self-care. Follow the advice of Rev. Dr. Janet Ahrend recently offered to me, "Stop. Close your eyes."

With that said, we are hitting the ground running in April!

  • Attend one of the Bachathon performances at a venue near you. Invite friends to come with you.

  • Attend the Organ Academy Recital. The literature the talented, young organists are performing is astounding. They will give you hope for the future!

Very best regards, Ed
