Bachathon Edition

- From the Dean -

Greetings, chapter members and friends!

Thank you to all who attended last Sunday's video party at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. The organs of First Congregational Church - Los Angeles are indeed "great." It was fun to spend time with everyone, watching the documentary video, munching popcorn, and generally hanging out. Special thanks to chapter friend Randy Darst who remained on hand to make sure the technology functioned properly and even captured the image below!

Lent is upon us and we are already looking ahead to the April 7 Bachathon - the Sunday after Easter. We need your help with publicity; see details included in this Erzähler edition.

Organ Academy is busy with weekly lessons and Saturday practice sessions. Our teachers and students have been working diligently; the April 28 recital promises to be amazing.

It is an honor for me to be serving with the dedicated and talented musicians of the AGO - Spokane Chapter!

Very best regards,

In celebration of Bach's 339th birthday, the Spokane chapter presents a Bachathon - four 60-minute recitals performed by a team of four traveling organists at four locations. Each artist performs a 15-minute "set" of works, then leaves immediately to reach the next venue in time to begin again!

Read about our organists and the works being performed on the Bachathon webpage!

Jim Tevenan, CAGO

Janet Ahrend, DMA

Matthew Johnson. BMus

Joseph Schubert, PhD

The organs to be heard are uniquely suited for Baroque literature. Attend one of the performances near you!

Publicity Help Needed!

The Bachathon is listed on every free community calendar we can find. A press release is going out to our local media list.
