Apostle of the Eucharist

This Friday is First Friday and the Memorial of St. Peter Julian Eymard, the patron of one of our worship sites and the Eucharistic Revival. We are blessed to have relics of St. Peter Julian Eymard available for veneration at both worship sites. St. Peter Julian Eymard, known as the "apostle of the Eucharist," dedicated his life to encouraging the frequent reception of Holy Communion. Join us in honoring his legacy and deepening our devotion to the Eucharist.

Back to School Blessing

Get ready for a special Sunday! At all Masses this Sunday, we’ll have a special blessing for everyone heading back to class—students, teachers and administrators alike. Whether you’re just starting your academic journey or wrapping up an advanced degree, remember that God is always with you. Don't forget to bring your backpack or book bag if you’d like it blessed. Let's kick off this school year with joy and faith!

Bread of Life Preaching Series

Join us this Sunday...well, join us every Sunday! Over the next several weeks, enjoy an inspiring preaching series on the Bread of Life discourse from the Gospel of John. We started hearing the Bread of Life discourse last Sunday, following the conclusion of the National Eucharistic Congress and highlighting the launch of the Mission Year of the Eucharistic Revival. As we continue to read from the sixth chapter of John’s Gospel this Sunday, Jesus tells us that He Himself is the Bread of Life who will satisfy every hunger and thirst.

Snippet from last Sunday's homilies: be prepared! Check the eNewsletter for Sunday's readings, have daily and Sunday readings sent to your inbox, or dive deeper with the 52-week Mass Guide online or in the bulletin, including a summary of the Gospel and questions for personal or family reflection.

Build the Future! Playground Reimagined.

We’re thrilled to kick off our exciting campaign to refresh our playground behind Queen of the Rosary Church & School! As we begin our 5th year as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament and celebrate 65 amazing years of providing Catholic education in the village, let’s come together to maintain a vibrant, safe and fun play space for our kids. Every bit helps, so spread the word, donate and let’s make this dream a reality together!

Annual Catholic Appeal: Together at the Table

Fr. Dan extends thanks to all who have contributed toward our Annual Catholic Appeal goal. Our anticipated rebate is now approximately $22,000 and we look forward to getting started on the bathroom updates when those funds become available.

Have you seen these recent updates?

Thanks to a generous parishioner and a talented craftsman, we now have beautiful reliquaries at both worship sites! The relics gifted to our parish over the years are on display and labeled for your inspiration. Stop by and experience some saintly inspiration! At QR, built into the wall on the East side of the church and at SJE in the Pieta alcove.

Another generous parishioner has begun refurbishing kneelers at our Queen of the Rosary Church with new padding and new upholstery.

A room in the Ministry Center at St. Julian Eymard Church was recently converted into a conference room. With permanent seating for 6 and room to add folding chairs around the conference table, this room is ideal for small ministry or small faith group meetings. Please contact the parish office to learn more.

If you've spotted any of these recent updates, e-mail us a photo of you and/or your family in any of the above locations and be entered into a drawing for an OLBS goodie bag! Photos sent in may be used in the bulletin.

Discussion Questions

How is manna similar to the Eurcharist? How are they different?

How does receiving the Eucharist change us?

If you have already received your 1st communion, how can we approach the Eucharist differently? If you haven’t received your 1st communion,  what can you do during communion to unite yourself to Christ?
