Jim Morningstar, PhD, in Part 2 of this interview details the growth of breathwork communities in the 1970s and 1980s. He recounts his own call to leadership in founding the School of Integrative Psychology in 1980 and eventually developing Therapeutic Breathwork. Hell tells of the role of the International Breathwork Foundation and the Global Inspiration Conferences it sponsors in a different country each year. At the 2001 GIC the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (https://breathworkalliance.com) was created which now monitors training and ethical standards for professional breathwork, which now has practitioners and schools in a vast number of countries worldwide. This growth has been enhanced exponentially with the advent of online sessions and trainings to reach people to whom these services we unavailable before.
