Wine Tasting Fundraiser
Vancouver winery Burnt Bridge Cellars hosted a sold out wine tasting fundraising event to benefit the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. Great wine, good food, and fun fellowship was enjoyed by all!
1990-2020: Celebrating Community & Compassion
The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington (Free Clinic) will soon achieve a remarkable milestone. Next year, we will mark our 30 th anniversary as a leader in providing free health care for the uninsured in Clark County. 

From the Board President..Sustaining Our Mission
In July, I had the honor of stepping into a new role as president of our Free Clinic board of directors. First, I want to thank Dawn Tolotti, our past president, for handing me the “reins” of an organization that is well run, with an effective, caring and involved board and staff. Dawn presided over a time of many changes, including the hiring of a new executive director, Ann Wheelock, in January of this year. Managing change effectively doesn’t happen by accident, and I want to recognize the many volunteer, board, management and staff leaders who have come before me. These individuals have created the fine organization we are all a part of today.

Dr. Susan Davis
The year was 1990 and Dr. Susan Davis had just started practicing medicine in Vancouver when she met Marcia Howery, the first employee of the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington (Free Clinic). Encouraged by the Free Clinic’s vision to always offer compassionate care, Dr. Davis decided to volunteer. In 2002, those volunteer hours changed when Dr. Davis began serving as Medical Director of the Free Clinic, a role which she still occupies today.

Jim Martin
Jim Martin became aware of the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington (Free Clinic) the old-fashioned way, Dr. Sam Beall, one of the clinic’s founders, told him about it. 
“Sam and I were both Vancouver Rotary members and we were part of a group asked by the Vancouver School District to adopt a couple elementary schools as part of the ‘Small Children Need Big Friends program,’” remembered Jim. “As we got to know each other better, Sam told me about the Free Clinic. I knew that anything Sam was involved in was golden, and I would be happy to help if called upon.”
