Propel is back! Join Community Campus Coalition on Friday, October 2 at Bowling Green State University for an inspiring day of student leadership, community impact, and civic engagement. This year’s theme—America’s 250th—will spark meaningful conversations and action. Registration opens in May!

VISTA Opportunity at Marietta College

Marietta College is seeking a passionate changemaker for its 2026–2027 Community Engagement VISTA position in partnership with the Community Campus Coalition. This 12-month AmeriCorps role focuses on building nonprofit partnerships, strengthening campus-community connections, and supporting emerging leaders.


With a living allowance, education award, and professional development opportunities, it’s a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Washington County.

As a member of the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement ("The Alliance"), Triple C is part of a national network advancing the public purpose of higher education through civic engagement and community partnerships.


Through this membership, Triple C institutions gain access to exclusive events, resources, and collaborative opportunities designed to strengthen their impact across Ohio and beyond.

CEAC 2026: Call for Proposals & Registration

Proposals for the Community Engagement Administrators Conference (CEAC) are due April 25 and are being accepted across four formats—standard workshops, experiential sessions, ignite mini-sessions, and community conversation/case clinics. Submissions should highlight innovative approaches to dialogue, civic engagement, partnerships, teaching, and institutional strategy.


The conference will be held June 10 at Elon University, with registration open through May 25.


Join colleagues from across higher education to share practice, build connections, and advance lasting civic impact.

Engaged Faculty Institute: Register by May 11

Triple C is sharing a professional development opportunity available through our partners at the SEED Coalition. The Engaged Faculty Institute (EFI) Online offers a flexible, asynchronous learning experience designed for faculty and staff who are developing or re-designing community-engaged courses.


Participants will explore five modules—Foundations and Critical Commitments, Planning and Facilitation, Partnerships and Engagement, Learning Outcomes and Reflection, and Assessment and Evaluation—while gaining practical tools to enhance course design and community collaboration.


A summer session runs May 19–June 23, 2026, with an introductory call on May 19 (register by May 11).


Seed Coalition has reserved 10 spaces for faculty from the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement (ACCE), of which Triple C is a member. When registering, participants should select “My Campus Is a Member of the Alliance” under Seed Coalition Member Campus Affiliation.

Call for Proposals: TMA 2026 SLCE Conference

Proposals are now being accepted for the 2026 Transform Mid-Atlantic (TMA) Service-Learning & Civic Engagement Conference, Co-Creating Change: Collaborative Community Partnerships.


Held October 17, 2026, at American University in Washington, D.C., the conference brings together practitioners, scholars, and community partners advancing civic engagement and service-learning.

Session formats include workshops, panels, roundtables, and posters.


Proposals are due by June 8, 2026.

Ohio Campuses: “What’s Next, America?” Initiative

The National Issues Forums Institute is inviting campuses to participate in “What’s Next, America?”


It's an initiative designed to equip faculty, students, and campus leaders with practical tools to deliberate pressing public challenges, strengthen civic learning, and deepen campus–community connections.


Ohio colleges and universities interested in piloting this program are encouraged to submit an interest form to learn more about participating.

Pericles Civic Fellowship: $3,000 Grants


Project Pericles is now accepting applications for its Civic Fellowship, offering $3,000 awards for faculty and staff to develop civic learning projects in classrooms and communities.


Themes include civic identity, community engagement, and bridging differences. Priority goes to public, community college, and MSI applicants. Deadline: May 11, 2026.

FY26 Ohio AmeriCorps Formula Grants


ServeOhio is now accepting applications for FY26 Ohio AmeriCorps Formula Operational and Planning Grants, supporting programs that strengthen community impact across the state. Funding applications are due by April 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST.

The Campus Takeover Team and SLSV Coalition have released new updates to the Local Election Engagement Guide to support stronger student voter engagement ahead of the 2026 election cycle.


Based on lessons from 2025, the updated guide expands guidance on connecting local issues to primary elections and highlights the power of local-focused messaging. New resources include messaging strategies, real-world examples of student impact, and ready-to-post social media content. Explore the updated guide to strengthen your nonpartisan civic engagement efforts this spring and summer.

Nonprofits LEAD Annual Capacity Building Conference


May 13, 2026


The Nonprofits LEAD Annual Capacity Building Conference will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ET) at Marietta College.


Hosted by Nonprofits LEAD, this premier Mid-Ohio Valley event brings together nonprofit leaders, staff, board members, volunteers, and supporters for a day of learning and connection.

The conference features a keynote address, three workshop sessions, a vendor fair, and opportunities to customize your learning across topics like HR, marketing, and finance. The day also includes networking, lunch, and a closing celebration with trivia, live music, and an ice cream social.

ITGA City & University Relations Conference: Registration Open


May 19–22, 2026


Texas A&M University and the City of College Station will host ITGA’s 18th Annual Conference, “Laying Tracks for the Future,” focused on strengthening sustainable and resilient university–community partnerships.

The conference will explore how cities and universities collaborate to drive economic and community impact, featuring networking events, workshops on university-driven tourism and revenue, and concurrent sessions May 19–22.

Sept. 29, 2026


Ohio Excels and the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation will once again host the Aim Hire Workforce and Education Conference on September 29, 2026, at the Hilton Columbus Downtown.


This statewide convening brings together leaders from education, business, government, and community organizations to explore Ohio’s workforce and education landscape and strengthen pathways to student and career success.


This year’s theme, “Aligning the Engines of Economic Mobility: Education, Workforce, and Economic Development,” focuses on expanding opportunity through stronger system alignment.

Partner Campus Spotlight

The University of Akron, a Triple C partner campus, has been nationally recognized for its innovative [Un]class program, which brings students into community-based learning experiences focused on civic engagement and real-world impact.


The program, housed in UA’s EX[L] Center for Community Engaged Learning, recently earned a 2026 Civic Engagement and Community Service Award for its collaborative work with local partners. Read more about how Akron students are helping shape community solutions through hands-on learning.
