Triple C members are invited to join a virtual Higher Education Student Voter Engagement Roundtable on Thursday, March 26 at 10:00 AM.
Hosted by Triple C with All Voting is Local and Campus Vote Project, this open discussion will bring Ohio campuses together to share strategies and discuss key updates related to student voter engagement, including developments around the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE) and planning for the 2026 midterm elections.
The session will not be recorded to encourage candid conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Ohio Peace and Conflict Studies Network (OPCSN) Conference: Strengthening Democracy Together at John Carroll University.
Faculty, students, and community partners from across Ohio came together for a day of thoughtful dialogue and collaboration focused on civic engagement and peacebuilding.
We’re also excited to share that the Fall 2026 Ohio Peace & Conflict Studies Scholarship, housed at the Hudson Community Foundation, is now open.
Two tuition scholarships of up to $1,500 will support Ohio students pursuing peace and conflict studies or community-focused fields.
Application deadline: March 20, 2026.

The Communities Thriving AmeriCorps VISTA program, facilitated by Triple C, is currently seeking host sites across Ohio for the 2026–2027 service year.
This is a valuable opportunity for campuses and community organizations to host a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA member dedicated to building long-term capacity around local needs. VISTA members support sustainable solutions to challenges such as economic development, education, and community well-being.
VISTA member placements begin in July 2026, and available slots are limited. If your campus is interested in serving as a host site, reach out soon to learn more about this impactful opportunity. Please contact Stephanie Dodd for details.

Triple C is sharing a Hunger Free Campus Coalition opportunity from Swipe Out Hunger. Swipe Out Hunger has provided over $1 million in grants to support campus food pantries with staffing, infrastructure, and essential materials.
Campuses can now share data from August 2024–August 2025 through the Campus Leader Survey—this first step toward prequalification helps advocate for your campus’s needs and strengthen food security programs.

Learn how Cornell moved from siloed programs to institution-wide, collaborative community engagement, and explore actionable strategies to scale sustainable, mission-aligned initiatives.

Triple C is sharing a professional development opportunity available through our partners at the SEED Coalition. The Engaged Faculty Institute (EFI) Online offers a flexible, asynchronous learning experience designed for faculty and staff who are developing or re-designing community-engaged courses.
Participants will explore five modules—Foundations and Critical Commitments, Planning and Facilitation, Partnerships and Engagement, Learning Outcomes and Reflection, and Assessment and Evaluation—while gaining practical tools to enhance course design and community collaboration.
A summer session runs May 19–June 23, 2026, with an introductory call on May 19 (register by May 11).
Seed Coalition has reserved 10 spaces for faculty from the Alliance for Campus Community Engagement (ACCE), of which Triple C is a member. When registering, participants should select “My Campus Is a Member of the Alliance” under Seed Coalition Member Campus Affiliation.
| | Ohio Campuses: “What’s Next, America?” Initiative | | |
The National Issues Forums Institute is inviting campuses to participate in “What’s Next, America?”
It's an initiative designed to equip faculty, students, and campus leaders with practical tools to deliberate pressing public challenges, strengthen civic learning, and deepen campus–community connections.
Ohio colleges and universities interested in piloting this program are encouraged to submit an interest form to learn more about participating.

The Allstate Foundation College Service Grants
The Allstate Foundation and the Center for Expanding Leadership & Opportunity (CELO) are offering $10,000 grants to support youth-led, campus service initiatives for 2026–2027.
Grants can fund new projects, expand student access to service, or increase the impact of existing initiatives.
To apply, institutions must submit by Monday, March 30.

| | Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership | |
The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics is inviting colleges and universities to join the Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership (ICDP), a national consortium that equips undergraduate students with the skills, habits, and virtues needed to engage thoughtfully across differences.
Through a year-long fellowship, students from diverse institutions train in dialogue, facilitate conversations across political lines, and help foster healthier cultures of disagreement on campus.
New partner institutions will join pods of 4–6 schools, forming a growing network dedicated to civil discourse and character formation in higher education.
Applications are open through Wednesday, April 1.

New research from the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement highlights trends from the 2024 election cycle and recent state and local races.
While 47% of young people voted, only 16% say democracy is working for them. The findings also show that a strong sense of belonging at school is a key factor in whether students participate in civic life.

The conference will highlight the role of practices such as prayer, meditation, rituals of healing and forgiveness, and visions of interconnectedness in sustaining global movements for peace.
