Festival of Trees is Back!

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

It might seem a little too soon to talk about Christmas.  However, this is one holiday gift that you get to open early! It's simply too "Fabulous" not to share it.  Two wonderful nonprofits are joining forces this Christmas season to bring magic and sparkle to Petaluma . The Fabulous Women of Sonoma County and The Petaluma Woman's Club are collaborating to bring you the Festival of Trees this year.

It will be on December 2nd and 3rd.  The hours are from 6:00pm - 9:00pm . (Location: 518 B Street , Petaluma )  This is one of the biggest events that you'll find in the North Bay that celebrates Christmas, Community, and Charity!

Thousands of people are expected to walk through the doors of  The Woman's Club and enjoy this magical experience.  There will be an amazing Christmas tree auction, holiday Sweet Shoppe, raffle, Santa photos by Looking Glass Photography, succulent garden shop, and an awesome lineup of local entertainment.  Families will enjoy the Pacific Empire Chorus Group, Love 2 Dance, Petaluma Pete, and local high school talent.

The entire event is powered by volunteerism, love, and local businesses.  It is FREE admission, and if that isn't enough, the proceeds from this event will be poured back into charitable nonprofits.....This includes the community effort to help the fourteen families affected by the recent fire in Petaluma .

PASSPORT TO CHRISTMAS!

This year a fabulous concept has been introduced by the organizers.  It is called "Passport to Christmas."  Locals will have the opportunity to make a $20 donation to help

Petaluma families who suffered damage and loss of their homes from the September fire.  In return, people who make a donation will receive 10 FREE raffle tickets for Festival of Trees and a passport filled with local restaurants and businesses that will honor a 15% discount off their goods and services.

*SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLY AND ARE DETERMINED BY THE MERCHANT

The duration of this campaign is December 2nd through Christmas Day. This campaign is circular.  We are helping

local families in need, we are promoting local shopping and dining, and we are celebrating the true spirit of giving.

The passports will be sold beginning November 1st. The following local businesses will be selling the passports:

 GRANT OPPORTUNITY

The Fabulous Women have a structured guideline to their giving and how they award the proceeds of this event.  They support three important categories, a global cause, a community nonprofit, and an organization that supports youth. The Fabulous Women have a strong connection to The Rwanda School Project which was originally developed by a small group of local educators. The Fabulous Women take pride in helping our larger world succeed, and they understand that every person has the ability to make a difference globally. The rest of the funds raised from Festival of Trees are divided equally between two local nonprofits. The winners are selected through a grant process. If your charitable organization falls into the youth or community category you may submit a grant proposal for consideration. Please email the Fabulous Women by November 11th and answer the following questions:

1) What is your mission statement?

2) How do you support the local community?

3)   How would a grant from the Fabulous Women help you with  current projects and your work in the community?

**All submissions for the grant process must be submitted by a registered organization. The deadline for our grant opportunity will be November 11th.  The winner of the grants will be announced opening night with Santa and Petaluma Pete.  Please email your information to:
