Join us for our first-ever Winter Warehouse Sale!
We know you aren't used to hearing from us in the middle of winter, so we are happy to have a good reason to contact all of you now about  our first-ever Winter Warehouse Sale Feb . 25! This is an opportunity for you to fill your freezers and pantries and a chance for us to empty out ours before the summer CSA program begins.

We planned this event for Saturday, Feb. 25 not only to beat the winter blues, but to coincide with National CSA Signup  Day,  an entire day dedicated to the celebration of community-supported agriculture. Read more about it below.

Come meet our farmers and farm reps and get a little winter pick-me-up before the home stretch until your veggies start arriving weekly in June. We will be offering  discounted pricing on everything from m eat (grass-fed beef filets and  ground beef, chicken breasts and thighs, ham steaks, pork  chops and ribs, breakfast sausage and sweet Italian sausage links) to fresh greens like lettuce, kale and spinach, staples like honey, syrup and jams and even  some items leftover from fall.  We will also have cheese, fresh eggs and baked g oods for sale.

Winter isn't over yet, so come pick up all you need to make comfort food like beef stew and chicken noodle soup and shepherd's pie. Stock up on maple syrup to sweeten your pancake breakfasts and honey to sweeten your hot tea.

Please let us know if you'll be stopping in by RSVPing to Laura at or Rachel at

National CSA Signup Day is Feb. 24
In 2015, Small Farm Central released the 2014 CSA Farming Annual Report, which gathered data from more than 250 CSA farmers and almost 53,000 memberships. Among other interesting facts, the report showed that the most popular day for CSA Signups in 2014 was Friday, Feb. 28. So in 2015, the first National CSA Signup Day was held Saturday, Feb. 28.

CSA farmers offered special CSA Signup Day discounts and promotions and enjoyed an influ x of signups from members wanting to support local agriculture. This year, CSA Day is about more than getting lots of CSA signups; it's a whole day dedicated to the celebration of community-supported agriculture.

This is why we are holding our first-ever Winter Warehouse Sale the following day, Feb. 25. Please join us and help us celebrate community-supported agriculture.

Share sizes/options
New this year is a customizable share. Many of you have been requesting this option for years! This share is equivalent to the medium share in volume. Members will select $23 worth of produce only from the farm store to fill each week's share. The total regular price of $700 includes a $12 fee each week to cover the cost of special packaging and the extra labor required to hand-select each item ordered by the member. Since this is a new option, we are only offering a limited number of customizable shares. This means quantities will be limited, so order early to get one of these customizable shares. There are no small shares this year.

Pick-up Sites
For now, select "Pick-up sites to be announced" or select the Farm location to complete your order. We will finalize our pick-up sites in the spring and follow up with you then to select your location. An additional savings of $50 is applied to those picking up at our farm location.

You may pay for your share with a check by mail or online with a check or credit card.  We offer a payment plan which breaks down the total cost into three equal payments. If you are paying by check, it requires mailing in all three checks at once. If you are paying online, three payments will be automatically deducted from your credit card, each one month apart. Please be sure to use a credit card that does not expire before the final payment is due, or make a note to update it when your new card arrives.

This year, returning members can take advantage of a 5 percent discount.
