Dear Rondout Families and Faculty,

It was great to see so many families last night at the Arts’ Night. Mrs. Boyer and Ms. Ausmann did a fabulous job of putting together the “gallery walk” and music videos. The art work and musical performances were amazing. Using the QR codes to share the “virtual concert” was cleverly planned and implemented by Ms. Ausmann. We will be posting the videos next week for our Rondout families.  Looking forward to next week’s Band Concert in person on Thursday May 12, 2022.

Our sincerest thanks  go out to the PTSA for remembering all our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. We know how busy everyone is and are truly grateful for the many ways we were recognized this week. Along with the thanks for the special surprises this week, there are so many ways that our families demonstrate their appreciation throughout the year. We appreciate the kind words in your emails and in our phone conversations, the trust you put in us each day you send your children to school, the support with feel in our partnership with you as we work together to help each child reach their potential. These have been challenging years as we have taken the COVID19 journey together. Your support has been instrumental in getting us to this point in time. Please know how much all these things mean to us as educators every day not just during teacher appreciation week.

Thanks for continuing to acknowledge our extraordinary faculty and staff. The professional gifts our faculty/staff bring to the process of growing the hearts and minds of our students are certainly amazing. We are so blessed in our community to have such an exceptional group of professionals who work together to make each day of learning count and who know and value each child as an individual. Thank you for recognizing the many ways that Rondout faculty/staff make a difference.

On another note, while masking is still optional, please be aware that COVID19 numbers are increasing. We will continue to institute the precautions that can be found on our website. We are still providing weekly PCR testing through the Shield program and rapid testing is available via BINEX Now through Nurse Kellie’s office. If you still need to sign up for testing, the forms can be found through the link in the flyer. We will continue to report positive cases of individual students and faculty. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Due to the National Junior Honor Society Ceremony and the Graduation of the Class of 2022, we will not host parent coffees on Wednesday the 11th and the 18th. Our last parent coffee of the 2021-2022 school year will be Wednesday May 25th at 8 p.m. We hope you will pop on to say hello as we close out the school year.

To close today, we want to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day!  Hoping you find time to enjoy your special day. You deserve it!

 Take care…Until next time…
