Banking at Falls Catholic is About to Get Even Easier...
A Falls Catholic  checking account  already comes with many free member benefits, including an ATM/Debit card, access to surcharge-free ATMs, mobile and online banking, and overdraft protection, to name a few. And soon, we’ll be adding Mobile Deposit to the list!

With Mobile Deposit, you'll be able to deposit a check into your account right from your mobile device! Here’s how it will work...First, you'll log into the FCCU mobile app, and after typing in the amount, you'll be prompted to endorse the check before taking a photo of it using the camera on your phone or tablet. Once you hit submit, the check will be reviewed before posting to your account. It’s that simple!

With mobile deposit, you’ll be able to deposit checks whenever and wherever you are – at home, at work, and on the go! We look forward to sharing more information about this new feature, including its anticipated release date soon.
Mark Your Calendars...International Credit Union Day is Right Around the Corner!
On the third Thursday of October each year, credit union staff, volunteers, and members gather to reflect upon the credit union movement's history, promote its achievements, recognize the hard work and share member experiences. This year’s theme, “Local Service. Global Reach.” highlights all that credit unions do to serve the needs of their members locally.

We hope you will plan on spending part of ICU Day with us at our branch on Thursday, October 17. We have a great celebration in the works! We look forward to honoring you, our members, and all that credit unions are doing to positively impact our local communities around the globe. Stay tuned for more information!
Fall Home Improvements That Can Really Pay Off

Not only is the fall a perfect time to tackle some of the home improvements projects you didn’t get to this summer, adding some energy efficient tweaks around the house can make a big impact on your wallet come winter time!

Repair Your Roof
Sure, summer is roofing season, but with fall, business slows down, leaving more room in the roofing contractors’ schedules — and more bargaining power for you.

Weatherize
Take a weekend to weatherize your house. Check caulking around window and door frames; replace door sweeps and weather stripping and; consider replacing older single-pane windows, with newer, energy-efficient ones. These projects could help lower your heating bills dramatically this winter.

Clean Your Gutters
Clogged gutters can cause serious water damage, so either climb up there yourself or hire a service to come out and remove any leaves or other debris. Check the downspouts to ensure water flows freely and look for any leaks or cracks in the gutters. Some issues can be repaired, rather than replaced, saving you a lot of money.

Do Some Exterior Touch Ups
While you’re weatherizing, give your home a quick inspection. Are there areas where the paint is chipping? Siding that is getting a little iffy? Touching up the paint or replacing and repainting damaged siding can extend the life of your exterior paint — and allow you to find and fix any issues (such as rot) before they affect your entire home.

Update Your Tech
When you’ve got the outside in good shape, look at how you can upgrade your interior. Smart thermostats can help you manage your heating costs — and some utilities offer incentives for adding these tech tools. Smart lighting can also be a good investment, allowing you to control lighting usage.

Explore New Appliances
Consider upgrading your HVAC system, refrigerator, and/or water heater. If any of these appliances are more than 10 years old, you’re likely to see big efficiency improvements when you upgrade. If your appliances aren’t due for a replacement, you might get them tuned up, just to make sure everything is working at its peak.
Build More Memories
No matter what you need, the equity in your home can help you build it. Use it to:

  • Remodel your home
  • Consolidate debt
  • Take a family vacation
  • And much more!
