Healing Roots: Considerations for Mental Health Accessibility and Delivery of Services Across Tribal Communities resumes Feb. 4.

Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention After a Suicide, the next installment of Healing Roots: Considerations for Mental Health Accessibility and Delivery of Services Across Tribal Communities, will air 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4.
In this webinar, participants will learn about the necessary culturally-appropriate tools to help reduce suicide in Native American communities. Speakers will also address different strategies to support tribal communities after a suicide occurs.

Social determinants of health (SDOH) series continues Feb. 17 and will cover trauma, chronic stress, and military deployment.

Click here to register. Each webinar in this series, produced in collaboration with Aetna Better Health of Kansas, is divided into two flash presentations. A certificate for half of a contact hour will be provided upon completion of each session.

The 2nd MHTTC Grief Sensitivity Virtual Learning Institute (GSVLI) will be held Feb. 23-24.

In this free two-day training, faculty will offer grounding and foundations for grief sensitivity for the mental health and/or school mental health workforces in the face of COVID-19 and beyond. Click here to learn more and register.

Looking Ahead: Leadership Institute virtual orientation begins March 21.
|
|
The 2022 Leadership Institute, presented by the Mid-America MHTTC, PTTC, and ATTC, will begin virtual orientation on March 21. Be sure to submit your nomination and application forms by Friday, February 4.
This institute will provide participants with intensive leadership training in personal, partnership, and process development. Candidates for the program must be employed in a behavioral health, mental health, or recovery agency in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, or Nebraska, and be nominated by their CEO or director.
