Welcome to February! With this new month, we are thrilled to bring you some exciting new information on our employee engagement committee. For many years ACLD's Organizational Care Committee has provided our organization with opportunities for unity, growth, camaraderie and fun. We are grateful to the committee members of Organizational Care for all of their enthusiasm and support over the years. In this first quarter, we are thrilled to bring you our reimagined employee engagement committee called the Care, Connection and Culture Committee (C3.) In this edition of Limelight, you will learn a little more about the new committee, see photos from their first employee engagement day, read about their mission and how our organization will benefit from their work.

February celebrates Black History Month. At ACLD, we strive to create a workplace and supportive environment for those entrusted to our care that is rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA). Black History Month offers us a meaningful opportunity to appreciate the diverse experiences that each of us bring to the table, that in turn shape who we are as an organization. It's a time to honor the lasting contributions of so many and reflect on how we can continue advancing DEIA within ACLD and beyond.

· A story about how you or someone else went above and beyond to help the people we support, organized any fun or educational activity, or did anything to further our mission in any way.

· A few sentences on any staff member or team who should be spotlighted for their consistent, exceptional work.

· Information or news that is useful for staff across the agency.
