The Word became flesh
When we talk about the Incarnation, we mean the eternal Son of God took on flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. As a result, Jesus is one person in two distinct but undivided natures: divine and human. Let's briefly explore six key passages of Scripture that help us understand what the apostle John means when he writes, "the Word became flesh" (John 1:14).

Host an apologetics workshop at your church
One good way to equip yourself to defend the Christian faith is to take part in an apologetics workshop led by the Missouri Baptist Convention. These one-, two-, and three-day events are tailored to your local church or association.

10 biblical truths about life beyond the grave
Christians ought to know that reports of near-death experiences should be measured against the yardstick of Scripture. God has chosen not to answer every question about life after death in His Word, but He gives us enough information to glean at least these 10 biblical truths.

Will a man rob God?
Does the Bible command tithing? If we don't tithe, are we robbing God? Doesn't the Old Testament teach tithing , while the New Testament stresses giving ? These are important questions, and every sincere Christian wants to get the answers right.

Does the Bible teach generational curses?
Christians struggling with addictive behaviors, bad relationships, or dire circumstances may wonder if they are victims of generational curses. That is, they worry God is punishing them for the sins of their ancestors. But is this true?

Engaging Jehovah's Witnesses
Wil Hoffmann, president of the Missouri Baptist Apologetics Network, has just released When They Come to Your Door , a handy reference for engaging Jehovah's Witnesses when they knock on your door. This is a companion piece to Hoffmann's recent work on engaging Latter-day Saints.

What Every Christian Should Know About the Trinity
The Missouri Baptist Convention has released a new resource for personal or group study. What Every Christian Should Know About the Trinity explores the biblical foundation of belief in one true and living God, who exists as three distinct, but inseparable, co-equal, co-eternal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
