Share The Harvest
This Deer Season
Rifle Deer season starts tomorrow, 11/12. If you are not planning on using the venison from a deer you harvest, consider donating the deer to the Share the Harvest program. With Share the Harvest, you take your deer to an authorized meat processor in your county, they will process the meat, and then your local conservation agent will pick up the meat and take it directly to a local food bank. With 1 in 6 Missourians facing food insecurity, this is a fantastic opportunity to provide protein-rich, healthy food to those who are hungry. To find a participating meat processor close to you, click HERE.
