Resource Advisory Committees
Calling for New Members

Resource Advisory Committees (RACs) are now accepting volunteers! Committees are a critical component of CFM and provide a means for any member to be actively involved in the Federation's operations and programs. Any current member may request to serve on a committee, subject to approval by the President. As CFM is a volunteer-driven organization, we need and greatly appreciate your time and efforts. There is a place for everyone willing to volunteer.

If you would like to serve on any Resource Advisory Committee (RAC), please submit the form linked below to Executive Director, Tyler Schwartze, tschwartze@confedmo.org.

From the Blog: Watkins Mill
State Park Fishing Report

While it felt like I caught the same 7-inch, male bluegill about 30 times, it was still a heck of a morning at Watkins Mill State Park in early June. There were a couple of streamer eaters but most fish were caught on a small 1/80 ounce jig under an indicator. I also caught a couple of redear and a 12-inch bass as well. I also might have caught a natural hybrid too but I’m not sure. It has some of the markings of a redear but also has some bluegill features as well. I have caught natural hybrids before that looked a lot like this but they could very well have been redear that were just colored up in a unique way...
MDC Creates Photo/Video Policy

The Missouri Conservation Commission gave final approval to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) on a proposed change to the Wildlife Code of Missouri regulations that would require permits for commercial or for-profit photography and videography on MDC areas. Commercial use is defined as any activity that directly or indirectly results in financial gain, or where money is exchanged in connection with the activity. MDC notes commercial-use permits are not required for news agencies, hobby photographers and videographers, or those taking personal pictures or videos. Photography and filming on MDC areas for non-commercial use have been and remain allowed on MDC areas without the need for a commercial-use permit.
