Risberg Fundraising Dinner

Register now! - October 14, 2021

Join CFM at a dinner to help raise funds for the David A. Risberg Memorial Grant. The grant, which awards money in honor of David A. Risberg, helps to fund projects that CFM believes will have a lasting impact on the lives of Missourians for years to come.

The event will include a cocktail hour with live music by the Rootdiggers, dinner by chef Johnny Graham, a Jefferson City native who has cooked around the world, and special guest speaker Will Jimeno, World Trade Center North Tower collapse survivor.

The dinner will be in Fenton, MO.

Table sponsorships and registration are available now.
Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative Act

The Conservation Federation of Missouri is engaged with a nascent national effort to create a 10-state initiative to restore the Mississippi River. Legislation to create such a program (a Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative) has now been introduced to Congress. Given its bipartisan, multi-state nature, we’re optimistic such a bill could advance in both chambers with potentially significant, long-lasting impacts on river health.

Deer Season is Here
Share the Harvest

In 1992, hunters in Missouri began a program to share the deer they harvested with those less fortunate. From that beginning developed a statewide system run by the Conservation Department (MDC) and the Conservation Federation of Missouri called Share The Harvest, a program that provides an easy way for hunters to donate venison to Missourians in need of red meat.

Hunting and fishing are engrained in American culture. However, the true value of outdoor sports is far greater than retail sales, annual licenses and permits, or the number of participants. It's about the experience. Folklore is a powerful way to stabilize cultural practices and traditions. Conversations could begin at home, the workplace, or in the classroom, so start one today!

The book is available online in the CFM Store!
