We ARE making a difference in the community!

At H.O.P.E. for Animals it is our MISSION to eliminate the preventable euthanasia of companion animals and community cats by providing
high-quality low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services, by supporting rescue and by promoting responsible pet ownership.
How We Help Pets & People In Need
"I've taken my pets here for several years. They get the exact same care and medicine as a
vet's office without the big price tag! It's a not-for-profit and they are a wonderful gem in our community. The staff is always caring and very helpful. You can't go wrong!"

The Feline Fall Festival was a success!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us assemble community cat shelters!

We couldn't have done it without the help of the countless volunteers who showed up to lend a hand! Our community is full of amazing people!

We have outdoor shelters available for pickup at H.O.P.E. for Animals.
Outdoor shelters offer a warm place for free-roaming cats to hide out and feel
safe during the cold winter months. 🐈
They are free to the public but donations are welcome. Donations made towards the shelters will enable us to continue building more shelters as the cold season sets in.
Thank you to our friends at The Humane Society of the United States - Indiana for providing H.O.P.E. for Animals with the #SpayTogether grant!

Employee Spotlight: Emily
Emily is our Community Cat Coordinator at H.O.P.E. for Animals! She joined the team in 2015 and she has been with us for almost 6 years. With her compassion and leadership, the Community Cat program has grown tremendously!

Since Emily is in charge of our Community Cat Program, she works with people from the community to help our outdoor cats. She does an excellent job of giving advice and guiding people to ensure the happiness and safety of Fort Wayne's cats!

Not only does she assist people, but Emily actually goes out to trap the outdoor community cats so they can be spayed or neutered and released back into their natural environment (TNR). Emily’s favorite part of the job is returning the cats to where they were found, knowing they’ll be happier and healthier.

When Emily is not at work, she enjoys camping and travelling. When she is at home, she likes to spend time with her cats! Between her and her partner, they have six cats. Emily’s cats are named Stinky, William, and Aoffe!

We LOVE having Emily as a part of the H.O.P.E. team, and we are proud to have her leading our Community Cat Program! Through her hard work and dedication, we have been able to help many cats in our community. We aPURRciate you, Emily!
