Dear Friends of the Field Center,

May is National Foster Care Month. It’s a time to recognize that we can all play a part in the lives of children and youth in foster care. It’s a time to acknowledge the foster parents, family members, volunteers, mentors, policymakers, child welfare professionals, and other members of the community who help children and youth in foster care find permanent homes and connections. It’s a time to renew our commitment to ensuring a bright future for the more than 400,000 children and youth in foster care and celebrate those making meaningful differences in their lives.

The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research doesn’t wait for May. We work all year to inform policies and practices to enhance and ensure the wellbeing of maltreated children and support vulnerable families at risk of maltreatment through our advocacy, research, and education. We can only do this impactful work with your help. We hope you will consider a gift to the Field Center to acknowledge National Foster Care Month!

With over 400,000 children and youth in foster care, it’s time to focus on how the child welfare system can support and strengthen families, prevent their disruption, and promote child and family wellbeing. This is our future. We will only get there with your help!

All donations to the Field Center will be generously matched, dollar for dollar, by the Joseph and Marie Field Foundation until June 30th, 2021.

In Gratitude,
