These site visits allow AGH to verify items purchased with grant funds, help us experience the grant’s impact firsthand, and assist us in better serving the needs of firewood distribution programs.

Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program

Subgrants ranging from $75,000 to $350,000 are available. Applicants eligible to receive this funding are community-based nonprofits, local governments, institutions of higher education, and Native American organizations planning to address environmental issues with assessment, planning, or development activities in disadvantaged communities. AGH can help firewood distribution programs or communities apply.
