The April Wood for Life workshop brought Tribal leaders, firewood banks, nonprofits, and forest partners together in Flagstaff to strengthen collaboration around forest restoration, wildfire resilience, and sustainable firewood access for Indigenous communities. Free Fire Prevention Tools!


This FEMA-funded opportunity for tools is open to firewood banks, community action agencies, fire departments, and social service centers. We want to help bring basic wood stove safety practices to your community with free hands-on tools. The Alliance for Green Heat will send you metal ash buckets with lids, magnetic stove thermometers, and rotary chimney sweep kits to give away to the firewood recipients that need them the most.
