The Alliance for Green Heat staff visited three firewood banks in North Carolina this month: Hinton Rural Life Center, Project F.I.R.E - Jackson County Department on Aging, and Project F.I.R.E. - Cullowhee United Methodist Church. Read about the experience here.

Many firewood banks deliver to homes where children are a part of the family structure. The EPA Burn Wise "Wood Smoke Activity Book" is a cute story about best burning practices, where kids can color the pictures and complete little activities.
