The International Women's Day's (IWD) theme for 2025 is Accelerate Action, which "emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality." National K9 Veterans Day

National K9 Veterans Day is celebrated on March 13 - the official birthday of the US Army K9 Corps - and it "commemorates the service and sacrifices of American military and working dogs throughout history." For more information, visit Military.com.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day 2025

Join us on March 29 as as we come together with all Americans to thank and honor Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. March 29 is appropriate for a day honoring Vietnam veterans as this day in 1973 was the day United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was dissolved. This is also the day the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam, and close to when Hanoi released the last of its acknowledged prisoners of war.

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library is a non-partisan, non-government museum and library that attempts to increase the public understanding of military history and the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served. In a democratic society, it is important for people of all viewpoints to have an open, public forum to discuss the past, present, and future of the military. Through its collection and programs, the Museum & Library is dedicated to serving as a forum for those discussions and preserving them for future generations. It is a center where citizens and soldiers come together to learn about military history and the role of the military in a democracy.
