U.S. Army Women's Museum Now Fully Accessible to the Public

Thanks to recent gate changes at Fort Lee, Virginia, visiting the U.S. Army Women’s Museum is simpler than ever. The museum is now fully accessible to the public. The U.S. Army Women’s Foundation is proud to partner with the museum, which tells the story of women in the U.S. Army — the courage, service, and achievements from the Revolutionary War to today. As members of the U.S. Army Women’s Foundation, this is our shared history. We invite you to walk through the exhibits, see the faces and hear the voices of those who came before us, and share this remarkable place with others who should know the legacy we carry forward.

The museum’s website extends the experience beyond its walls with virtual tours, educational resources, and professional development and training opportunities. Whether you explore online or visit in person, the U.S. Army Women’s Museum offers a powerful way to honor our past and inspire the next generation of Army women. Please share this news and encourage friends, family, and colleagues to visit.

In Memoriam

It is with sadness that we share one of our champions is gone: BG Evelyn Patricia "Pat" Foote, USA, Retired. She was an extraordinary woman who showcased compassion, competence and leadership. As a trailblazer she held many “firsts” and always showed the incredible capability of women in the Army. She was an amazing example for so many, and led by example in all that she did. She held many significant roles in retirement continuing on her selfless service. She was a 2009 Army Women’s Foundation Hall of Fame Inductee and served on the Army Women’s Foundation Advisory Board.
