It's (almost) summertime and the livin' is easy! In June and throughout the summer, the Fleet is open late on Friday nights for fun after the sun goes down. The last IMAX® film will screen at 7 p.m., and all our interactive exhibits--including MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition--are open until 8 p.m. Grab a snack at Craveology café for extra energy, so you can stay and play until the lights go out!
Buckle up, because this month, the Fleet is blasting off for outer space and bringing back an IMAX classic. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, Hubble takes viewers on an unforgettable journey behind the scenes of one of NASA's greatest accomplishments. The Hubble telescope is set to be retired in 2020, but this film is at the Fleet for a limited time only.
Was your last date a bust because the conversation was super boring? Then mark your calendar for June 21, when Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar® comes to local watering holes. We put two scientists in local bars with a sign that reads, "We are scientists. Ask us anything!" Grab a beer and a friend and engage in great conversation with local scientists.
The Discover Science Here Artist Project highlights the science that happens in the community of Barrio Logan every day. Join us for the exciting reveal of the art pieces created for the project. The celebration will include a brief history and a look at the future of 52 Weeks of Science in Barrio Logan. Did we mention there will be tacos?
