Here, we will share with you some of the wisdom from the Institute of Personal and Transpersonal Knowledge website. For more insights, simply visit the site with the link below, and follow the page-by-page links through the website, or try one of his guided meditations.

We do not need to continue living this life of separation. Ongoing research in cognitive sciences is demonstrating the neuroplasticity of our brain. We can develop and grow new neuronal networks. We can develop new pathways of thinking through careful reason, inquiry, and contemplation. We can develop new pathways of experience through meditation and imagination.

Father's Day is just around the corner on June 18th. Don't forget to tell dad you love him. Also be sure to thank him for everything he does. The best gift you can give dad is some of our time and company.

Father's Day

From: History.com, By: History.com Editors, May 15, 2023

The nation’s first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in the state of Washington. However, it was not until 1972—58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official—that the day honoring fathers became a nationwide holiday in the United States. Father’s Day 2023 will occur on Sunday, June 18.

Fiber is essential for metabolic health, helping with everything from balancing blood sugar levels to regulating lipid profiles to promoting gut health. Unfortunately, more than 90% of Americans aren’t eating enough fiber. THE NEXT GEN: Zoe Crimmel

Zoe Crimmel

This week’s Next Gen up-and-comer is Zoe Crimmel. I first featured Zoe as one of my youth entrepreneurs in the July 15, 2022, issue of The Flock. Zoe and her sister Anna had started their own business working with and training pets. The two of them mentored other students and brought them into their business. They both went on to work with their family to build one of the best tennis programs in Colorado, Aspen.Tennis. We'll be featuring Anna in a future issue. Zoe now has her own newsletter that she posts online at Where in the World is Zoe. She has stuck with tennis, training in Croatia, and has accepted a tennis scholarship to the University of Arizona. Watch out for her, you'll be seeing her play on TV one day. I'm very proud of all that Zoe has accomplished.

PET'S CORNER: House Training

How to Potty Train an American Eskimo Dog

From: Wag!

One of the many good things about training your American Eskimo is that he is a very intelligent dog who learns very quickly. Potty training him is less about struggle than it is about time. You may need to wait until he is at least 10 to 12 weeks of age or you will be wasting your time. Prior to this, you may need to lay papers down and be vigilant about cleaning up any accidents he has. This may be the most important part of the training process as leaving a "smelly" spot on your floors will lead him to believe it’s a perfectly good place to go potty.
