Hi Friends and fans, this is your big fan Beth. This is another big reach that I highly recommend. I fully enjoyed it. It's remote and breathtaking.

Tusker's Mongolia Nomad Trek explores a region with some of the richest history of all our treks. The local Kazakh eagle hunters and Tuvan herders are descended from ancient Turkic tribes that have occupied this vast, magical land for over 12,000 years. Stretching back in time past Alexander the Great and the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, tribes of old conducted trade on what is now known as the fabled Silk Road. Because of the cold climate, awe-inspiring relics of history are still intact. Trekking through this rich area of Mongolia, you discover fascinating petroglyphs and “Deer Stones” that have hardly changed in thousands of years. As you journey with the local nomadic herders, you step into the pages of history most people only ever read about.

I love this. Small actions can have big effects. I and my friends are now ferociously collecting bottle caps. Weekly these bottle caps travel to gas stations in Mexico where they are deposited into bags where they are recycled and turned into money that helps comfort the lives of children stricken with cancer.

Fundación Sanar is a Colombian NGO which has helped children with cancer for more than 31 years. Healing caps, is an initiative the NGO started 5 years ago, in which they collect plastic caps, sell them and use the money collected to buy medication and pay medical exams for children with cancer who cannot not afford them. The majority of plastic caps have been collected in schools and companies where the initiative also raised recycling awareness and the reuse of waste materials. Acoplásticos contributes with the participation of its affiliate companies and has contributed with logistics for the collection of the bottle caps. The project began in 2013.

Kids Camps: Towns, museums and theaters hosting classes and camps this summer
|
|
The saying goes “if you can’t beat them, join them” — but there are many classes available this summer that allow kids to beat the heat while also joining in on team activities. Every year, Tucson Local Media rounds up a sampler of some of the summer camps and classes, and this edition continues that tradition. There are plenty of the classic outdoor recreational opportunities and overnight camps, but there also technology, arts and culture opportunities depending on your preference.

I needed some clarity as an independent voter on how to vote in the primary and this article helped.

Arizona Opinion: August Primary results will impact our daily lives – and how few people determine them

The legislature arguably is where the laws that have the biggest impact on our daily lives are considered. Voters should pay close attention to the 90 locally elected individuals, 30 senators and 60 representatives, who directly impact our daily lives. More than 80% of all legislative races are determined in the primary (where only 36.4% of registered voters in 2020).
After the once-a-decade redistricting that occurred last year following the official U.S. Census count, Arizona voters and candidates find themselves in new districts. To look up your new district use the Legislative District Lookup tool, available here.

This is the artists corner. This is one of my most favorite floral artist and nature photographer. This picture below speaks for itself.
|
|
Through painting and photography, my work focuses on beauty as revealed in the limitless, quotidian interaction of light and color. There are so many poems and quiet voices waiting to be heard! This has become even more alive and intense during covid, when Nature speaks with a louder voice to offer us gifts daily. Rooted in the tradition of still life, my work explores relationships, sometimes traveling back in time, yet always using contemporary vernacular to engage in conversation with the inanimate around us. I hope, as sanctuary art, my images offer respite, joy and wonder. Today more than ever my work celebrates the mystery of the ephemeral.
