FLGA District Graduation Celebrations

Schools around the Florida-Georgia District celebrate graduations this time of year—college, high school, middle school, kindergarten, and preschool. We pray that the love of Jesus will surround all students as they end the school year and make plans for the next step in their lives.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face shine upon you,
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
and give you peace.
Thrive Community Church is an FLGA District mission begun in August 2014 to be both a church and a campus ministry to Florida Gulf Coast University. The emphasis has been from the beginning on relationships and intergenerational discipleship. Though the mission style is contemporary and casual, the content is genuinely Lutheran in doctrine and practice, with a very intentional focus on reaching those who have yet to be reached.

Campus ministry is a very intense, relational effort by many at Thrive Community Church. The 16,000+ students at FGCU are typical of this generation, with about one-third disconnected from Christianity and religion. Yet, God shows faithfulness to His promises with visitors and students coming in for worship, weekly gatherings, service, and Bible studies. Pastor Roth would be thrilled to connect if you know of a student attending or planning to attend FGCU!
