Called to Glory
Rev. Manfred (Fred) Poeppel was called to his heavenly home on September 27. He served as interim pastor of Shepherd of the Coast from May 2020 to February 2023. He spent most of his ministry in the Eastern District of the LCMS. Please pray for his family and friends as they mourn his death.
Emily Hogan (Teacher, Gainesville, FL) went home to Jesus on September 30. Emily was a teacher assistant at the Open Arms Child Development Center of First Lutheran in Gainesville, FL. Please keep the family and friends of Emily in your prayers as they mourn her passing.
Prayers
Megan Skelton (DCE, St. Luke's Oviedo, FL) will undergo surgery to remove a mass on her brain. Please pray for Megan and her family as they await the procedure.
Rev. Luis Diaz (Faith, Hialeah, FL) remains hospitalized with a Septic infection. Please pray to discover the source of the infection and proper treatment.
Rev. Larry Dexheimer (Emeritus) is recovering from the first of two total knee replacements. Please pray for healing and a complete recovery.
Prayers of thanksgiving for Rev. Chris Patterson for continued renewal of health and for his wife, Judy Patterson (Messiah, Tampa, FL), and family as they have resettled into their home in Tampa, FL.
Please continue to pray for Cricket Winters, daughter of Rev. Jay Winters (University, Tallahassee, FL). The results of the MRI show that the tumor is stable. Cricket and her family are awaiting word on treatment changes. Please join them in praying for God's continued care and plan for Cricket.
Rev. James Drummond (Emeritus) is battling cancer. Please pray for him as he receives treatment and battles severe infections.
Rev. Andy Ritchie (St. Paul, Lakeland, FL) is recovering well from shoulder surgery. Please pray for relief from pain and for him to recover fully.
Please pray for Deaconess Ligia Morales (Prince of Peace, Orlando, FL) as she is recovering from a severe infection and will undergo surgery in the near future.

On October 15, Rev. Mike Mast celebrated his 45th ordination anniversary. The people of Christ the King, Largo, FL, describe Mike as "an encourager, a team-builder, a joke-teller, a dog lover... a brother in Christ and a friend to many, and at CTK, we are blessed to call him pastor."

Hymn Festival in St. Pete, FL
You are invited to Grace Lutheran, St. Petersburg, FL, on November 1 at 7 pm for a beautiful hymn festival commemorating All Saints Day!
The program will feature numerous arrangements by organist and composer Rev. Dr. James F. Marriott. Marriott is the Associate Pastor at Faith Lutheran in Georgetown, TX, and Assistant Professor of Theology and Music at Concordia University, Texas.
