FOCUS OF THE MONTH

Food Assistance Resources Amid SNAP/CalFresh Delays

As you likely know, in conjunction with the federal shutdown, November’s SNAP/CalFresh benefits have been delayed. Though political discussions and legal proceedings continue, it is important to emphasize that even if funding is restored swiftly, benefits will likely remain delayed through the month of November.

Other food assistance is available during this time. Over 940 food pantries are available throughout Los Angeles County to help the 1.5 million residents impacted by this delay.

If you or someone else you know is in need, do not wait! Reach out to some of the many local resources dedicated to ensuring continued access to healthy nutrition.

The LA Food Bank's Food Pantry Locator tool can help you find the nearest food pantry location.

If you need additional help locating food assistance, contact LA211

During this time, our Food Assistance Resource page will be continually updated and expanded as additional information becomes available.

ICMS Snapshot Updates

A new indicator was added to the "Care Team" category in the Participant Level Summary tab.

The additional indicator added includes:

  • ICMS Supervisor - Indicates the ICMS Supervisor of the participant's currently assigned ICMS Case Manager, according to CHAMP record. This indicator is important for HFH staff and other care Team members in coordinating timely resource provision and care. If the supervisor assignment is incorrect or outdated, the ICMS Provider will need to submit a request to have the supervisor assignment updated using the CHAMP User Profile Request Form.
