December Webinar: Real World AI Applications for Technical Writing/Editing with Dianne Kennedy

Friday, December 8, at 12:00 PM

Today there is a great deal of buzz about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its implications for writers and editors. AI technologies will not replace technical writing and editing jobs any time soon, but AI can help make our jobs easier.

In this session hosted by STC Chicago, you will learn about how two different kinds of AI, machine learning and chat bots, can be used to help make a technical writer/editor’s tedious, labor-intensive tasks easier and more efficient.

Our speaker, Dianne Kennedy, AI Advisor for Ictect Inc., will demonstrate these distinct types of AI so writers and editors can see how they might employ AI to automate tedious editorial tasks and improve efficiency.

Tuesday, December 12th at 1:00 PM

In this interactive webinar hosted by STC, you will learn how to “elevate your relevance” by building and maintaining a strong personal brand in the technology sphere. All too often, writers and content creators are overlooked as the strong anchors to development, even though we all know our contributions are essential for strong documentation. This webinar is applicable not just for writers, though – anyone looking to advance their profile, seek a promotion, or just to be included on the most interesting projects will take away valuable tools and tips.

Building your personal brand is an ongoing process and involves much, much more than just occasionally updating LinkedIn or retweeting company content. Together, we’ll explore the best of the available tools, from Blogs to TikTok, to make sure you are the one whose name comes up when you aren’t in the room – in the very best ways!
