Welcome from the PTO President, Kari Armstrong
Welcome to the very first issue of the  The Foxes' Den: Where Foxes go to stay in the know!  Look for this newsletter in your inbox each week and read it from "head to tail" in order to stay current on everything FHES!

On behalf of the FHES PTO, welcome back (almost) to school! This is such an exciting year for our community. Each of our Forest Hill Foxes will be experiencing something new - a new school, a new grade, a new teacher, a new friend (or two), and many new opportunities to learn.

I am excited to share with you the names of our FHES PTO Board of Managers for the 2019-2020 school year! The FHES PTO has planned a year filled with fun, and we will need your help! Please stop by the PTO table at Meet the Teacher Night on Aug. 8 to join the PTO, sign up to volunteer, or just ask us some questions.

Let's have a great inaugural year at Forest Hill Elementary!
Kari

Forest Hill Helping Hands is looking for 9-week volunteers
The Forest Hill PTO Board wants to give all parents the opportunity to be involved and serve our school, so we started a parent volunteer committee called Forest Hill Helping Hands.

Whenever help is needed at the school, an email will be sent to this committee. "Help" could include anything from moving furniture to donating food for an event. In order to avoid volunteer fatigue, and since some seasons of life are busier than others, we will create a new Helping Hands list each 9 weeks. Feel free to sign up more than once!

Look for the Forest Hill Helping Hands sign-up sheet for our first 9 weeks at the PTO table at Meet the Teacher on Aug. 8.
Don't forget to READ-O
Help your student start the year with a sense of accomplishment! Students still have time to complete their summer reading Bingo sheets.

We have some fun prizes in store!

Calling all Fathers of Forest Hill!

We are planning a come-and-go event for just the guys to spend a night out with their students before the start of the school year. Our “Dads Night Out” will be Mon., July 29, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Lenny's on Poplar and Forest Hill Irene. Kids eat free on Mondays, and we will also be stopping by Miccos Snocones on the way out to grab some dessert.

Hope to see all guys and their students there!
Show off your Fox Pride!
