Congratulations to Mr. Smith, Orchestra Teacher
Sat., Oct. 17 our orchestra teacher Mr. Smith celebrated his wedding day! To say “Congratulations” the PTO sent Mr. Smith a “His” and “Hers” coffee mug gift basket.

Congratulations again, Mr. Smith! Your Fox Family wishes you a Happily Ever After!
Ways to Support
Health Room Needs Spare Clothes
As we move into cooler weather, we could use some long-sleeved shirts and pants for girls and boys in the Health Room for spare clothes. All sizes, 3T-10, are appreciated.

Simple items like leggings or sweat pants are easier to match sizes. We are also out of new, size 6 boys underwear. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

Last Call! Fox Masks and Scrunchies for Sale
Hello! My name is Liliana McKenna, and I am a 16-year-old high school junior in Germantown. I have my own sewing business and have recently sold and donated over 800 masks in the community.

I am selling fox masks and scrunchies and will donate 20% of each purchase back to the FHES PTO. Masks are $10, mask/scrunchie sets are $12 and scrunchies are $5.

To order, send me a message on Instagram @toteally_u or send me an email at [email protected]. I will respond to your message and confirm sizing and quantity and give you a time for a Germantown porch pick up.

Action Requested: Select Learning Mode via Online Portal Oct. 26-Nov. 9
The online portal for families to select virtual or in-person learning for the second semester will open on Mon., Oct. 26 and close on Mon., Nov. 9.

Please continue to check your email for upcoming communications that will help your family make this decision.

In the coming weeks, GMSD will be sharing the following:
  • Current school-related COVID data and SCHD projections for future cases based on the Rt (reproductive rate) of the virus
  • Current enrollment numbers of virtual and in-person learners
  • Learning options based upon a number of case scenarios based on virtual enrollment
  • Ongoing safety measures on our campuses
Nominate for Teacher of the Month and Youth Excellence Awards
Now more than ever, it's important to let our teachers and students know we appreciate their achievements.

The Germantown Education Commission is back in session. Each month, the commission will award a Teacher of the Month and Youth Excellence recipient, but first we need your nominations!

Get them in early, as nominations stay in the pool until selected or until the end of the year.

Email Stacey Ewell if you have any questions.
