PAB Newsletter - The Frequency February 2024

30 Second Spot with Joe

Pennsylvania Leads the Way

In conjunction with the National Association of Broadcasters State Leadership Conference in March, we have concluded meeting with 16 (out of 17) Pennsylvania members of Congress in the House of Representatives.

The purpose of these meetings was seeking co-sponsorship of the AM Radio in Cars Act (HR 3413) and the Local Radio Freedom Act (H.Con.Res 13).

I am delighted to share with you that we have garnered 13 co-sponsorships for AM Radio In Cars and 11 co-sponsorships for the Local Radio Freedom Act, leading the nation in this effort.

I have meetings scheduled with our US Senators offices in the coming weeks to review these issues with them. It is a privilege for the staff at Team PAB to represent member stations on government relation matters in Harrisburg and Washington D.C. during these challenging times for broadcasters. Onward!
