This past month we celebrated our Youth Ambassadors with a bus mural unveiling featuring the Jabari Reed (iBOMS) artwork in collaboration with our Youth. This was made possible by PSTA, Turbo Images, and SHINE Mural Festival. It was amazing to see so many people come out in support. Thank you to Jabari and his family for coming out among many others!
Before Thanksgiving, we decided to Give Back with our Youth Farm Family Feast event in partnership with Humana. We brought on Chef Julius from Bowlz & Bunz to do a recipe demonstration and tasting of both a Chicken Marsala and Creamy Cajun Salmon meal with green beans and brown rice. We had over 20 families register and go home with ingredients to make either the salmon or chicken dish (download the recipes below).
We also want to thank WeekEndz Sweet Treats for coming out and providing a customizable banana pudding dessert option for our guests as well!
We were also able to give away tons of pantry items in time for the Thanksgiving holiday which included various nonperishable canned goods, snacks, and more.
