St. Rose School

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."

– Colossians 3:15

Greetings from Dr. G

It was a week of reflection and rejoicing that began with a visit from Diocese of Bridgeport Superintendent Dr. Steven Cheeseman and culminated with the 8th grade trip to New York City! In between we were treated to the beautiful art, songs and sounds of St. Rose School students at the Christmas Celebration Art Show and Concert and joined in heartfelt prayer in recognition of the 10th anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy. All of these things we do together as a school family with Christ leading the way.

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year for current families opened today! You should have received a link today to begin registration through our new School Admin process. It is my most sincere hope that you will continue your children's learning journey at St. Rose School. You are our top priority! There will be a reduced registration fee between now and January 22nd. Given the strong interest we have received from prospective families, it is important to reserve your spot now. After January 22nd registration will be open to the public. Questions? Email Mrs. Mok, [email protected].

Advent prayers and outreaches continue as we get closer to Christmas. Mrs. B and teachers will keep you informed about special activities next week. Monday, December 19th is Sister Thaddeus' birthday. Please join me in wishing her happiness, health and God's good blessings.

Another weekend is here to spend time with your loved ones preparing for Baby Jesus. Stay warm and healty.

God Bless,

Dear SRS Families:

We thank all of you who supported Raise Right via holiday shopping.  Every bit helps in raising proceeds for the school.  We also want to give a special “thank you” to Mary Driscol who oversees Raise Right for the HSA.  This requires a lot of time and organization which is very much appreciated.

As we quickly move into 2023 we will have Catholic Schools Week and the Sweetheart Dance (formally the Father/Daughter Dance) coming up in January and February.  If you are interested in helping to volunteer with either of these events please reach out to us at [email protected].

If you haven’t already, please all mark your calendars for the next Bingo night which is on Friday, January 13th.  We promise an evening full of fun while raising money for SRS!

On behalf of all school families, we will be providing all teachers and staff our best wishes and a few tokens of our appreciation before Christmas break.

As we get ready to celebrate we wish you and your families a happy and healthy Christmas and many blessings in the New Year!

Your HSA Board,

Isabel Almeida, President

Patricia Frogoso, Vice President

Dave Budzynski, Treasurer

Carrie Sirois, Secretary
