THE FRIDAY REVIEW

St. Rose School

September 9, 2022

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

-

Matthew 6:21

Greetings from Dr. G

St. Rose School spirit was on great display this week from BEST SCHOOL pirate themed float and enthusiastic band of marchers to the exciting first days of Preschool and the phenomenal turnout at our Back to School Night/HSA meeting. We have set sail for a bright new school year! Special thanks to our School Advisory Chair and alumni parent Mrs. DeBartolomeo who captured the excitement, eneregy and essence of our St. Rose School family in her "First Days" video which was unveiled last night and is linked below for your viewing. Please share it with your children too. Another great insight into life in our halls is Mrs. B's Adventures in Student Life.

I hope you had a chance to meet your child(ren)'s teachers and that things are going smoothly so far in terms of daily routines and school communications. As I mentioned last night, we will be reaching out for parent volunteers for lunch/recess and other school activities in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, please be sure that you are Virtus trained and if you have not already, please attend one of the School Security session September 15th, either 1:15 - 2:15 or 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Please email Mrs. Sweeting, [email protected] to register.

The general school slides from Back to School Night are attached here.   You can click here for Middle School slides.  Highlights include the daily school schedule, information about weekly communications, the importance of following car walk procedures, our sincere thanks to everyone who makes this community stand out and how wonderfully the new year has started. Looking ahead, we will present a State of the School update at the November 10th HSA Meeting and encourage at least one parent/guardian from each family to attend. These meetings, especially now that we are back in person, are an important touchstone between teachers, faculty and parents.

You heard it last night and I'll say it again -- we are delighted to be honoring Sister Thaddeus for her years of service and dedication to Catholic education at the Blooms Benefit October 21st. Let's fill the room -- it will be a night of joyful celebration and connecting with our school family, past, present and future! Email Mrs. Moulder, [email protected] with questions or to RSVP.

I've had fun visiting classrooms, the lunchroom and recess this week. The students are engaged at every grade level and our dedicated teachers are doing what they do exceptionally well -- inspiring a love of learning with a focus on faith. This is a recipe for a brighter world.

Have a fantastic weekend enjoying God's beautiful masterpiece.

God bless,

Dr. G

PRESCHOOL CORNER

Our littlest learners arrived this week and now our St. Rose School family is complete! How heartwarming it was to see the 3, 4 and TK students bursting with excitement as the doors opened and their adventures began. Every classroom was lovingly prepared to ensure that these precious children bloom in mind, heart and soul throughout the year. As Dr. Seuss says "Oh the Places They''ll Go!"

As a reminder Preschool drop off is at 8:40 a.m Please pull all the way around the main school; teachers will meet students at their cars and walk them into school. Pick up is 11:45 a.m. for 3's and 1:45 p.m for 4's and TK classes. Thank you.
