THE FRIDAY REVIEW

St. Rose School

December 23, 2022

"Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men."

– Luke 2:14

Greetings from Dr. G

The halls were merry and bright this week as faculty and students prepared for Christmas showing Christ's love in various outreaches and activities. It's heartwarming to be a part of this school family.

On behalf of the faculty, THANK you to the HSA for your generous gifts. We appreciate the many ways in which you make us feel special during the year. I am also grateful to all families for your Christmas gifts and wishes. It is a joy to watch your children BLOOM throughout the year.

I am delighted to report that as of today one third of current families are registered for 2023-2024 school year! It is my most sincere hope that all current families will continue your children's learning journey at St. Rose School. You are our top priority! There will be a reduced registration fee between now and January 22nd. Given the strong interest we have received from prospective families, it is important to reserve your spot now. After January 22nd registration will be open to the public. Questions? Email Mrs. Mok, [email protected].

It's too bad that we could not gather for our school Christmas Mass this morning but I am glad that everyone could stay safe at home during the storm. Perhaps God wanted us all to have an extra day of rest -- His gift to all of us!

In closing, I would like to thank Monsignor Bob for his daily love and support, he truly is an angel to St. Rose School. I am also very grateful to our dedicated staff who give 100 plus percent every day. And, I ask God's blessings on each and every one of you. May peace, joy, health and light be your gifts at Christmas and throughout the New Year. Enjoy your time with family and friends. If you are travelling, I wish you safe journey.

We look forward to seeing students back in our halls on Tuesday January 3rd. It will be an exciting month as we anticipate Open House and Catholic Schools Week with activities and celebrations in honor of our wonderful school and the people who make it so special.

God Bless,

Dr. Bardhyl Gjoka

Principal

Good news -- 1/3 of all current families are registered for the 2023-2024 school year!

Don't delay in reserving your child(ren)'s seat in advance of open registration which begins January 22nd. We value our school family and look forward to continuing this partership with you.

If you have not yet authenticated your account and signed your contract, please note that you should follow the instructions exactly. Each parent needs to open their own account, with their own email address and authentication code. Please do not fill out your contract and invite another signer. This does not work in place of opening your own account and signing and submitting your portion of the contract.

Questions? Email Mrs. Mok, [email protected].

HSA NEWS

Dear SRS Families:

We thank all of you who supported Raise Right via holiday shopping. Every bit helps in raising proceeds for the school. We also want to give a special “thank you” to Mary Driscol who oversees Raise Right for the HSA. This requires a lot of time and organization which is very much appreciated.

As we quickly move into 2023 we will have Catholic Schools Week and the Sweetheart Dance (formally the Father/Daughter Dance) coming up in January and February. If you are interested in helping to volunteer with either of these events please reach out to us at [email protected].

If you haven’t already, please all mark your calendars for the next Bingo night which is on Friday, January 13th. We promise an evening full of fun while raising money for SRS!

On behalf of all school families, we delivered a Target gift card and goodies from BP Provisions to all teachers and staff this week.

As we get ready to celebrate we wish you and your families a happy and healthy Christmas and many blessings in the New Year!
