Greetings from Dr. G
We have completed our first month of the school year and Autumn has arrived. There is an energy that comes with the crisp, chilly days and it is showing in our halls and classrooms as students in Preschool - 8th grade immerse themselves in interactive lessons and activities.
The heavens opened today with pouring rain but that didn't stop our school family from pouring out our hearts in celebration of Monsignor Bob who turns 77 tomorrow! Pom poms, top hats and a rousing rendition of "One Singular Sensation" set the stage for Monsignor's entrance to the gathering hall where Mrs. B gave a beautiful blessing reflecting upon the number 7 meaning good luck and also new beginnings which are so fitting for our beloved Pastor. We unveiled a mini recliner as a promise of a comfortable new recliner that will be a gift from the school for his new home. May God's blessings be abundant as Monsignor begins a new year.
A BIG THANK YOU to Monsignor for taking us ALL to ice cream yesterday. What a treat!
Sister Thaddeus brought our Kindergarten students to church this week in preparation for their first Friday Mass. We look forward to having their angelic voices join us going forward. Jesus loves the little children!

We are getting good results from invitations and sponsorships for the Blooms Benefit, An Evening in Paris. School students will be speaking at Masses this weekend and next and parents will be in the vestibule with information. Please help spread the word and join us for this exciting event honoiring Monsignor Bob on November 10th. My thanks for all who are working to make this a success which will greatly benefit our school. If you have questions please email Mrs. Moulder, advancement@srles.com.
You can find wonderful photos and information about upcoming school activities, clubs and athletics in Mrs. B's Adventures in Student Life. We are committed to staying connected with you on all fronts between The Friday Review and Adventures, with emails in between when necessary. You can also check the website for information.
I hope to have an update on the boiler for you next week. We are close to completion! October is the Month of the Holy Rosary. Please consider saying the rosary as a family and we will be focusing on this beautiful prayer at school during the month.
Stay dry and have a relaxing weekend.
