The Clerk of the Circuit Court is dedicated to serving the community with a variety of services. Below are some of the key services we provide.

FEATURED SERVICE:

The Traffic Division in the 1st Municipal District handles traffic tickets within the boundaries of the City of Chicago. This Division is responsible for maintaining records and collecting fees/fines for all cases involving City of Chicago moving violations. All cases related to parking tickets are not heard by the Traffic Division. Parking tickets within the city limits are heard by the City of Chicago Administrative Hearing Officer. The Traffic Division cases are heard in accordance with Illinois Supreme Court Rules and Illinois Compiled Statutes.

Call: The public can receive help on filings and court matters by contacting the Clerk's Call Center at (312) 603-5030, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.


WebChat: The Clerk's website now has a customer service WebChat. Users can reach our Call Center Clerks for general questions or assistance anywhere on the site. The WebChat box is located at the footer of every page. Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
