Call for Abstracts


All Full Conference registered attendees are invited to submit a Poster Abstract, and/or a Digital Tools and Resources Abstract.


Posters will be presented at the conference in the Exhibit Hall, and listed in the program. There will be two poster sessions on site, where presenting authors are expected to be near their poster to answer questions and engage discussions.


Discussions of genomics databases or software, will be presented in the Digital Tools and Resources Workshop sessions, of which there are typically 4 sessions.

Travel Grant Applications


The Aquaculture Species Group Student and Postdoctoral Fellowship Bursaries, and Neal A. Jorgenson Genome Travel Awards are now accepting applications for PAG 30. Deadline for submission is October 31.


Winners of the Scherago International Student Travel Grants, Michael D. Gale, Jerome P. Miksche, and Earl J. Scherago Travel Grants awarded for PAG XXIX will be transferred to apply toward attendance of PAG 30, and therefore those awards will not be open to new applications this year.

PAG Mentor Program


Navigating an international science meeting comes with challenges and expectations. The PAG Mentor Program will provide an informal process to support early career scientists with navigating the conference, discussing a career path, or meeting experienced scientists in their field during the conference. 


We are currently taking applications for both Mentors and First-timers, and looking match program participants. See the website for eligibility information and the application form. The deadline for applications is November 8. Learn More

If you are traveling to PAG from outside the USA, we urge you to make your arrangements and apply for any visas needed as early as possible, due to current delays in processing times. 


Please visit the U.S. Department of State website for the most updated information regarding any travel or visa concerns.


We are available to assist and can offer a Letter of Invitation, should it be necessary for your application.

Digital Plenary Sessions


Anyone who wishes to attend just the Plenary Sessions can register for the Virtual Plenary Sessions and view them online, both live-streamed and also on-demand after the conference. Learn More

COVID-19 Protocol


Although there are currently no vaccine requirements for attending PAG 30, we recommend all attendees to be fully vaccinated and have received the most updated boosters. If you are a non-U.S. citizen traveling to San Diego from outside the U.S, please see Travel Requirements for Non-U.S. Citizen.


We also recommend that all attendees test for COVID-19 within three days of traveling to San Diego for the meeting.

Ileana Cristea

Henry L. Hillman Professor of Molecular Biology, Princeton University, USA

Working Title: “Virology Meets Proteomics: Cellular Host Defense Versus Virus Immune Evasion”


Dr. Ileana Cristea has performed her graduate research at the Michael Barber Center for Mass Spectrometry, University of Manchester, U.K., under the supervision of Simon Gaskell, and at the Toxicology Research & Development Department at GlaxoSmithKline, U.K. She pursued her postdoctoral work in the mass spectrometry laboratory of Brian Chait at The Rockefeller University. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. The research of her group is at the interface between proteomics and virology. Her goal is to build an understanding of viral infection from a proteomics perspective. Read More
