Dear Resister, 

2023 was a year for experimentation, reflection, and meeting the moment. While we have witnessed the brunt of capitalism’s compounding crises, devastating climate change, surging prices, war, and now, genocide, we at Resist remain hopeful.

Hopeful that in spite of these interlocking crises, we will keep witnessing historic victories as frontline communities fearlessly lead the resistance, reimagine what’s possible, and build a new future for all of us. 

Unlike previous grant cycles, due to funding restraints, Resist had to limit the amount of money our grant panel of current and former grantees were able to redistribute. We also had to cut an entire grant cycle - leaving hundreds of small, radical groups who cannot turn to traditional foundations without necessary funding.

Still, we remained steadfast to our principles and redistributed over $775,000 to groups organizing locally and internationally, while carrying our mission for justice and liberation from Atlanta to Palestine. Thanks to you, we moved $30,000 in Rapid Response funding for 12 groups organizing in solidarity for Palestinian liberation.

Resist grantees don’t give up, they remain hopeful, create new pathways toward justice and liberation, and when they win, WE win.

IMPORTANT 2024 GRANTS MEMO

For 2024 Resist has made some changes to deepen our impact for our previous and existing Grantees.

2024 Resist Grants & Funding:

The 2024 Grant Cycle application opens January 16th, 2024. The deadline for submission is April 4th, 2024 at midnight EST. Results will be announced on a rolling basis.

Qualifications: You must be a existing or previous grantee of Resist.

Award Amount: $10,000.00

Rapid Response Fund will accept applications weekly and announce decisions with 14 days of business.

Qualifications: Rapid response is for urgent requests from new and returning grantees for projects including but not limited to events, direct actions, accessibility, mutual aid from 501c3 or fiscally sponsored organizations with budgets below $150,000. Qualifications remain the same.

Award Amounts: At-minimum $2,000.00
