September Monthly Luncheon: Scott Burns
Scott co-founded GovDelivery in a Saint Paul basement in 2000. From there, the company grew to 250 professionals across four offices in the U.S. and Europe. After he sold GovDelivery in 2016, the 41-year old co-founded a new company, Structural, earlier this year. Learn about Scott's business success story, and his involvement in the City of Saint Paul's Innovation Cabinet.

2.       What aspects do you find the most beneficial?


Networking, friendships and championing business growth.  The Midway Chamber is an amazing group of people that I look forward to seeing. 
 
 

3.       Do you have any Chamber moment which is especially memorable?

 
Opening night for CHS Field, with hundreds of chamber friends. The Saints are run by a great team of people and we are proud to have worked with them for the past six years.  The Chamber played an important role in bringing the Saints to Lowertown.  
 
 

4.      How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

 

In the summer, I golf and garden and most winter nights you can find me at a hockey rink coaching one of my two boys.

I have been a member of the Chamber for approximately 2 1/2 years.

What aspect of being a member do you find the most beneficial?
Meeting wonderful new people and getting to know Midway businesses better.

Why did you decide to join the Ambassador Committee?
I decided to join as a way for me to represent the Chamber and the initiatives it puts forth for the Midway area. Additionally, it helps me expand my network.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
Travel, reading, cooking, art endeavors, watching baseball and spending time with my family.

To welcome new members to the Chamber, to encourage new member participation in networking and promotion opportunities, and to represent the Chamber at community functions and new business openings.
