A Future with Hope -

Paving the Way with Faith

At Gethsemane, we are deeply blessed to witness our youth walking boldly in their faith. They celebrate meaningful milestones—baptism, first communion, and confirmation—with joy and devotion, and they actively contribute to our Sunday worship services. From participating in the Children’s Message to serving as ushers and lectors in their teen years, Gethsemane youth are growing into faithful leaders.

Their spiritual journey continues beyond the sanctuary. Through participation in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and ELCA Youth Gatherings, our young members deepen their understanding of God’s love and build lasting connections. Their commitment also shines through in fundraising efforts, which help ensure that GLC Youth can engage in faith-building experiences with peers around the US. In addition, our youth are leading the way in caring for God’s creation. Through the Green Committee, they champion environmental stewardship with creativity and passion.

This Sunday, during our Mission Moment, we are honored to hear from Olivia McFarlane. As a high school senior and cherished member of the Gethsemane faith family, Olivia will reflect on her walk of faith and share how her experiences at Gethsemane have prepared her to step confidently into a future filled with hope and purpose.

How to Pledge

A Future with Hope – Paving the Way with Faith

Pledges are important to help the Finance Committee develop an accurate projection of what will be contributed in 2026, help determine what Gethsemane can accomplish during the following year, and ensure that the needs of Gethsemane's staff are adequately supported.

To see a suggested giving amount, please reference this chart.

November 23rd is Giving Sunday. From now until then, you are encouraged to fill out this online form to indicate your 2026 projected contribution. There will also be physical pledge cards available in the church narthex starting on Sunday, November 16th.

To put your 2026 pledge into action, you can set up automated giving through Vanco or direct bank withdrawal (see the church office for the automatic withdrawal form). Giving envelopes will only be provided to those who request them.
