Become an Ambassador
Have you heard of The Big Give? The Big Give is UM’s annual online giving event that inspires UM alumni, donors, parents and friends to support UM students in just 24 hours, and this year the GLI is one of the recipients!
GLI will directly benefit from donations, so we are recruiting Ambassadors (you all!) to spread the word through your networks: word-of-mouth, social medias, emails, texts, phone calls, whatever it takes.
The sign-up process is seamless, and as an ambassador you'll be placed on the leaderboard for the chance to win if you inspire the most giving!
Click the button for more info or feel free to email us to learn more!

UM's A Midsummer Night's Dream!
| | |
The School of Theatre and Dance is proud to present ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ February 15-25 in the Montana Theatre of the PAR/TV Center on campus. In what is perhaps the Bard’s best-known comedy, four young people, plus a ragtag group of workers, stumble headlong into the middle of a magical spat. Almost all humans in the vicinity become hilarious casualties of the supernatural war between Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairies. The world of the play itself is turned upside-down as Shakespeare weaves an unforgettable tale of misplaced affection, supernatural mischief, and compounding happy endings. ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ is an ode to love, nature, loyalty, and the sheer magic of words. | | |

Black at the Roots: Black Student Union and the Dorseys
In celebration of Black History Month, the Mansfield Library’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (in collaboration with the University of Montana’s Black Student Union) has produced an exhibit highlighting both the history of the BSU and of the Dorseys—one of the most prominent black families in Missoula’s early history. This exhibit explores the fascinating and often hidden history of Black Missoula and the start of UM’s BSU. Find this exhibit in the display cases on Level 3, and at the Payne Family Library at Missoula College.

Making a World of Difference: Stories About Global Health
This month, a traveling banner exhibition and companion website from the National Library of Medicine tell stories of people who work on a wide range of issues—from community health to conflict, disease to discrimination—to improve health in their areas and beyond. Around the world, communities, in collaboration with scientists, activists, governments, and international organizations, are taking up the challenge to prevent disease and improve quality of life. Making a World of Difference highlights how powerful our shared desire for health can be—a unifying force across political and national divides. You can find this exhibit on Level 3 of the library between the Information Center and Paw Print.

IRC is one of the ten national non-profit agencies partnering with the federal government and communities across the country to assist newly arrived refugee families in achieving self-sufficiency, including here in Missoula. This includes services to support refugees, such as temporary and permanent housing, enrolling children in school, and assistance securing employment.
They are currently offering many internship opportunities for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience. The internship program is designed to provide students with valuable insights into the resettlement field and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects. We believe in fostering a dynamic learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
